After a summer of testing and using the partner edition of windows 7 for the past couple of months we can proudly say this time they got it right!

Microsoft got a lot of stick for Vista, unjust in our opinion as any of our customers who use Vista will tell you (and there are quite a few), there was nothing really wrong with it other than a bit of incorrect bad press, if it is configured correctly right from the start you will not have any problems and this was why we think people complained (microsoft agree also -see here ), lack of knowledge from the resellers (they should know better) and end user in our opinion but either way, Windows 7 is here and you would be hard pushed to knock it.
